Summary
What the story covers
The Muslim Foster Care Association shared my story as part of its Stories of Impact series.
It covers my 11 days at sea, detention and time in an orphanage, the United Nations’ help bringing me to the United States, and my placement with a foster family through Bethany Christian Services.
It describes how the association and my foster parents helped me adjust to a new culture and language.
I was on the boat for 11 days.
